Here we go again! – Daily Challenges
Does it seem like our daily routines get old every now and then?
The same thing we did yesterday – we’re going to do today.
Same place, same time, same schedule or close to it anyway.
The same old routine. (It does get old, doesn’t it?)
And how many years have we been doing it? (Too many, I’m guessing!)
Has the routine become endless? Giving us that feeling of no escape?
So, if we’re not able to take that much needed vacation right now,
maybe there are other options, at least for a moment.
Here we go agin! – What else can we do?
So, today let’s maybe try something different.
Do what we need to and have to do.
Our work, our school, our family, our usual.
But just for a moment, think of one thing, just a small thing that we would like to do different.
Maybe something as simple as turning right out our driveway instead of left.
Or left instead of right. (If we can.)
After we leave work and pick up the kids from school, do we have a moment for the park?
Have we been to the bookstore lately? The mall?
(Just to walk around and look – that’s called window shopping!)
Setting our eyes on something different today.
Gaining another perspective on our daily routines.
Taking a moment to breath and see something new. (Sometimes it helps.)
Here we go again! – The Bible says
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive the promise.
Endurance – The ability to withstand hardship, (Webster’s definition.)
Bible Trivia: After God had created the heavens and the earth, what was the day of rest called? (See Exodus 31:15)
