March 15, 2017 – The Truth

Daily Challenges

Have you heard any untruths spoken today?

Sometimes it isn’t always easy to tell.
Sometimes it can be someone else’s perception of the truth compared to ours.
(That’s a hard one to accept.)

Have we told any untruths today?
Even a little one?
Even if we didn’t mean to.

We’re all human and imperfect and sometimes,
and when were truthful, we’ll accept that
some things just get the best or worst of us.

What Else Can We Do?

It’s difficult to be understanding, when we’ve not been told the truth.
It’s difficult to not be angry, when we believe we’ve not been told the truth.
It’s difficult to forgive, when we believe someone has told us an untruth.

It’s not easy accepting that maybe we spoke an untruth.
It’s not easy telling someone that either.
It’s not easy…it’s not easy….it’s not easy.

Some will say nothing that is worthwhile is easy.
Others will say that its suppose to be difficult.

But what should we say; Is the right thing to do?

The Bible Says

Psalm 91:1-4
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fouler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

Ephesians 4:25
Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.

John 8:32
And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

Bible Trivia: Who told the first untruth in the Bible? (See Genesius 3:1-5)  The serpent

Bible Verse: For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17
