Daily Challenges

Webster’s definition of Life is: “The quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body.”

Know any ‘dead bodies’ walking around? We probably do, because there are other kind of deaths than just the physical one.

Some individuals have a difficult time overcoming life’s obstacles (small or large ones).
And some of those large ones can be more than any one of us are prepared to handle.

When life gets the best of us, it’s easy to just give in and let go.

Facing tomorrow with even more challenges can be a very difficult thing to do.

What Else Can We Do?

Vital and functional…..those are a good choice of words.

Webster’s definition of Vital is: “Fundamentally concerned with or affecting life or living beings.”

Webster’s definition of Functional is: “Used to contribute to the development or maintenance of a larger whole.”

It was the English poet John Donne that wrote,
“No man is an island,
entire of itself,
every man is a piece of the continent,
a part of the main.”

Learning to live among our family and friends in peace as much as possible is a good start.
Take that deep breath and count as high as we need to;
to remember that we do love them and we too are loved.

The Bible Says
1 Corinthians 12:20
But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.
1 Corinthians 15:45
The first man Adam became a living being, The last Adam (Jesus) became a life-giving spirit.
Ecclesiastes 7:12
For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, but the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

Bible Trivia: Who is The Way, The Truth and The Life? (See John 14:6)  Jesus said to him, “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”

Bible Verse: The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me light.      Job 33:4
