It’s hard to believe that this ‘new’ year is half gone.
It seems as the first six months went by in the blink of en eye.
Have we kept any of our New Years resolutions?
Maybe we’ve at least started writing 2017 on our checks.
Winter is long past, spring came and went and summer is here.
The days are longer and the nights are shorter now.
Have we been able to enjoy any of these warmer months?
Or is it just too hot to do anything?
Our challenge is to not let these warmer, sunnier days slip by us.
What Else Can We Do?
We all need to fulfill our daily obligations.
Whatever our work hours are,
let’s try to find some time to get outside and soak in the summer months.
Take that early morning or early evening walk.
Either will compensate for the hot and humid day.
Look for all the local events going on (and there are plenty of them)
and choose one or two this month and attend.
Do something out of your routine, something that you wouldn’t normally do.
Do something in these warmer months to remember in the colder months.
Even if simply to say, I did that!
The Bible Says
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk up rightly.
He who gathers in summer is a wise son….
