Daily Challenge

Famines, pestilences and earthquakes…

How many of these have we personally experienced lately
or know of someone affected by the worst of nature.

Famines are an extreme scarcity of food or drought.

Pestilences are fatal epidemic diseases.

Earthquakes are events when are world tries to pull itself apart.

Hurricanes, flooding, and wildfires are all a part of it.
The after effect of those events can cause famines and pestilences.

Unfortunately these episodes of nature cannot be completely avoided.

What Else Can We Do?

We can keep a lookout for extreme weather,
don’t take for granted that it will pass us by.
Because it may not.

Prepare our home and family the best we can.
Have an escape plan and
have extra supplies of the necessities on hand.

Help others through their ordeal of devastation,
either by giving a helping hand or by donating needed funds.

Count our blessings each and every day and
Pray for the Lord to keep us from harms’ way.

The Bible Says

Matthew 24:7b-8
And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Luke 21:11
And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.

Daniel 12:1b
…And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.

Bible Trivia: Who was the small still voice in 1 Kings 19:11-12?  Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord,” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake,; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire, a still small voice.

Bible Verse: Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Psalm 46:2
